PROJECT: LADDER

Inspired by Martin Puryear’s work at the Fort Worth Modern, this handcrafted wood ladder was a high school graduation gift from Jack, co-founder of Hardwood Groves, to his daughter (and other Hardwood Groves co-founder) Sam as she prepared to enter architecture school.

Each removable piece was individually gifted from a family member or friend symbolizing the people who help us reach life’s milestones. The ladder is a sculptural tribute that has moved with Sam throughout the last 15 years and is a reflection of Hardwood Groves’ values—craftsmanship, intention, and legacy.
