PROJECT: BOOK BENCH

This custom wood furniture piece was designed to maximize functionality and style in a small Brooklyn apartment. Serving as both storage and extra seating during gatherings, the bench is a practical yet elegant solution for compact living spaces.

The doors conceal storage while offering a subtle peek of color beneath from the books, adding a playful element to the design. Their detailing mirrors the legs of the nearby coffee table, creating a cohesive aesthetic throughout the space.

At one end of the bench, additional storage was designed to fit snugly between the wall and couch—an otherwise challenging space to utilize. This compartment is ideal for blankets, ensuring that every inch of the room is put to good use.
