PROJECT: SLATTED SURROUND

In response to the needs of remote work in a Brooklyn apartment, this custom furniture piece was designed to maximize functionality without overcrowding the bedroom. By incorporating a wrap-around built-in wood system, we transformed the headboard into a multifunctional unit that serves as a desk, nightstand, and shelving for small items like phones and jewelry dishes.

The slatted oak construction offers a modular and lightweight feel, enabling flexibility in arrangement without the permanence of a traditional built-in. This solution integrates work and rest without taking up additional space.
